Shaunna has been a therapist since the early 90’s. She is passionate about helping people to grow into all that they have been created to be. She was originally trained in RT in 2016 and has been using it as the foundation of her therapy practice since then, she is currently RT Level 2 trained. She has an EMDRIA certification for EMDR since 2023 and has found this to be a very helpful therapeutic model that works hand in hand with RT.
You will find Shaunna to be authentic in her approach, consistently recognizing that the journey toward healing is a constant process for all of us. At the same time she works with you so that you are capable of doing you own work more and more of the time utilizing your Pain and Peace Cycle. She loves to see her clients succeed and graduate. Her own RT work began a year before she was certified in the model. As a “recovering control freak” she loves to utilize what she has learned for herself. Change is hard, change is messy but This change brings peace and so much more space in your life.
Shaunna offers counseling from a Christian perspective or not, meaning that if her client wants she will pray, share scripture or situations from the bible that support the work that is being done. On the flip side she will leave that all out if her client does not want it. She does her best to honor each individual where they are spiritually and in all the other areas in their life journey.
Shaunna also offers a free 1/2 hour consultation where she will explain all that she does in counseling and answer any questions before a client has to decide of they want to get started with her or not. She believes strongly that a person should not have to stay with her just because they made an appointment.
