Sheila is a licensed marriage and family therapist who considers her relationship with clients a sacred calling. Her goal is for her clients to experience deep healing of their mind, spirit, and soul and achieve fullness in their relationships with others. She has a rich experience with people from a variety of cultural, ethnic, and spiritual backgrounds reflective of Santa Monica. She readily partners with clients from their faith perspective, as she understands the importance faith has played in her own story. Her practice concentrates on 20, 30 and 40 year olds. She finds that most of these young people seek loving and trustworthy marital partners and they also yearn to change past destructive emotional patterns, they seek to become their very best selves.
Sheila is in private practice in Santa Monica and has experience in working with couples, families and individuals who may struggle with issues such as trauma, anxiety, depression, emotional pain in their relationships, and sexual problems. She is comfortable working with couples where there has been an affair or betrayal. She has witnessed couples rebuild a tender, loving and trusting relationship with commitment, hard work and forgiveness. She also likes to work with women in addressing spiritual trauma and body image problems to empower them to take hold of an abundant life.
Sheila received her masters education in marriage and therapy at Fuller. She is trained in Symbis and Prepare/Enrich for premarital clients as well as Family Wellness. She and her husband have four adult children and are blessed with a dozen fun loving grandchildren.
